Whew, what a weekend. I'll get right to it. When I woke up Saturday morning I felt like I was falling out of a plane with no parachute

. I had a whole speech / presentation lined up for the shower to ask Martina to marry me. Now let me preface what happened next by mentioning that I operate best under stressful situations, always have, but Saturday morning I felt like I was having a heart attack ,

so what follows is probably the worst proposal ever: At about noon Saturday Martina gets in the shower, and I figure screw it, I can stands no more, so I'm gonna get down on one knee and ask her to marry, so I get the ring out, take a look at it, and fold like a chair. My solution ? Put the ring box on the vanity in our bathroom in front of her stuff...Then I head into the living room to watch the UCLA game. So, she gets out of the shower and starts doing her thing, she's talking away, taking calls etc. for about 20 mins, then it happens Her: " OH MY GAWD !!!!!!! WHAT IS THIS ?" Me: " Wat is what ? " Her: " THIS RING !!!!!!! WHO IS IT FOR ?!??? " Me: " It's for you, if you want it " Her: " ARE YOU ASKING ME TO MARRY YOU ? " Tears are flowing... Me: " Are you saying Yes ? " Her: More crying, nods her head yes, I put the ring on her finger and sweet love ensues ...

. The rest of the day was awesome, we had a killer turn out for the shower ( bout a hunert people ) and Mars sister Gina put on a great party

We're gonna have two weddings...My company is dropping its domestic partner insurance for 2008, and I don't want Mar to have to go back to work. So...around Feb. or so, we're thinking of doing a Vegas Elvis type wedding
