I spoke to a lady who sells.. and she said she read many books from the library first.. but recommended I start with what I already have at home SMART WOMAN.. and go slow... I did read some of their "contract" and there is a listing fee and a selling fee on ebay.. just so you know I was looking at chevy ssr's on there today.. but didn't buy one good luck..

I love selling on ebay. I used to do it a lot with my uncle and his collections. I learned that it is best to list as low as you can, as the listing fee goes up with price you sell. "Buy it now" costs extra, but not so much that you wouldnt want to do it. NEVER sell yourself short on the shipping handling!!! Buy a scale, looking on the USPS website and KNOW what it will cost to send the item. We would even charge a little (not alot) extra for shipping to make up for the selling fee and the portion they get for final sale...But we also had to buy a lot of packing materials, so it was doable... for example, we sold a lot of Marlyn Monroe figurines..buy it now for .99 and shipping was like 8.99. so they were getting a great buy and we didnt have to pay ebay a % of the 8.99..and we bought boxes and bubble wrap for each, so they arrived in mint condition. Profit on each was roughly $5. Disclosing the shipping costs up front, buyers knew that they were going to pay under $10 for the item period, even if the shipping was high. People that didnt want to buy, didnt. It was still a helluvadeal, we just made more by adding to the shipping cost. I wouldnt recommend selling out of country either. Shipping will kill ya every time, and most foreigners dont want to pay the price. You can also require insurance. It just covers your butt, and the cost is completely on the buyer.

actually, we used regular scale..either put it on there, or weighed w/out it and then w/it and estiamted the difference. Fortunately, the website tells you what it costs to send what where (based on size, weight) Another tip....priority mail costs a little more, but they also provide the boxes (with priority written all over them ,so you have to send that way) AND i think the shipping is uniform, so you dont have to guess at the cost. EX: the big box is 5.50 no matter where you send it or what it weighsYou can go to the post office and just take some boxes and prepack them too..or they have tape there..again priority.lol In the beginning we just guessed and got screwed..so know up front what your shipping cost will be. Those boots SHOULD sell, heck they were hot...and rare I imagine! lol you know i got your back if you need help
