Life is Not Fair!!!

So I have talked on here about my problems with school, my appeals for readmission, and how they denied me... Well on top of the fact that they have used my learning disabilities as an excuse to deny my readmission [can we say discrimination...which is against the law], I have found out some new information.... at least three people were readmitted this year...none of those three people had a GPA as high as mine...none of them had a semester as good as my second semester...at least two of them were not eligible to appeal until they went to professors and had grades changed...none of them have learning disabilities as an explanation of their difficulties...oh yeah and at least two of them are of a different race than me... In other words I got screwed royally!!! I just can't believe everything that has happened...never in a million years did I see this coming.

I have no idea why they would pick on you like that but armed with that information you should definitely seek a lawyer, go after this school for damages and then apply to other schools. at the very least it should prove to you that you ARE capable of handling the work at that school. Whatever you choose to do, i wish you great success!

Wow, that really... really... really sucks! Is there anything you can do?

Lisa, I have to ask this: Did they put in writing or actually tell you that your learning disability had anything to do with you not being allowed back this semester? If they did, I pretty much can bank on the fact that you will be allowed into the school, again, with free tuition, room, board, books, and a lot of spending money. If you have a document, get the best attorney that wants to make a bigger name for him/herself and will work on contigency to sue the hell out of the school. One more thing; if that school put that in writing or said it to you, ask yourself if you really want a law degree from a school that can't follow the law? Liz
