Four Years Ago

Did anyone see the Larry King interview tonight with Star Jones? In the interview she referenced that she had her surgery 4 years ago. The referenced 4 years kind of surprised me as it didn't seem that long ago that she started dropping the weight. She is getting her own show on CNN, a legal talk show, and the Larry King interview was probably timed to aid in the promotion of her new program. Just goes to show that a whole lot of changing can take place in a mere 4 years. Ron

Hi Ron.. Star was on a couple morning talk shows too last week. I said the exact same thing to a co-worker... I had my surgery 3 years ago.. and I thought for sure.. Star was pretty "fat" for a while..

did you know Anne Rice had gastric bypass? i didn't till the other day when i looked her up to see if she was still "writing for the Lord" and planned no more books in the Vampire Chronicles. I gotta tell you i hate being trendy, lol, it just kills me that this surgery has become so popular!

I didnt even know Anne Rice was overweight. I still find it annoying Tom Cruise got that role. not so much that it interferes with my everyday life, but just a fleeting thought. which reminds me, I never did finish Queen of the Damned.

I was so disgusted when he landed that role but he won me over when i saw the movie, i thought he did a good job. now how Antonio Banderas played a 16 year old "boy prince" is the true mystery of that movie if you ask me. Queen of the Damned eh? I remember when that was supposed to be the last book in the Vampire Trilogy. Somehow it became the Vampire Chronicles and their are 9 more books following Queen of the Damned in the series. (if you count Pandora and Vittorio which are supposed to be 'outside the timeline' but Pandora really is inside it after Blood and Gold came out.)

Anne Rice wasn't initially pleased with Casting when Cruise was selected to play Lestat. Interview had a blockbuster cast with Cruise, Pitt, Dunst, Banderas & Slater and I have always wondered in what order did they fill the roles? I believe that I have heard that Cruise had to audition for the role and that Rice had final approval rights for all casting decisions.
