Hair loss
So i started noticing lately that my hair is coming out more and more. It is not big chunks but more so than usual. I notice it in the shower. I have always been a shedder when it came to my hair but I am a little concerned. I know this can happen after WLS. Did this happen to anyone else?? Is there anything I can do about it?? I could just be obsessing about it too!!
i pretty much think it's assumed it's gonna happen.. and I think I was around the same time out as you. I would recommend trying to get pantyhose or something to strain your drain.. to help prevent clogs. I personally don't think there is much to do but just ride it out.. and mine did it for many months. I went from ponytail holder wrapped around twice.. to wrapped around 3 maybe 4 times
but it grows back.. and just wait until it does.. you'll wonder what all those little hairs are that are sticking straight up on your head are.. and if you have long hair.. you will be a bi-leve.. like ME
Morning Amanda!
yes this happened to me....it to shall pass, thank God, but in the mean time make sure you are getting in all your protein and I took Biotin (it is a vitamin supplement for your hair). It doesn't help everyone but it sure helped me! You could see right through my hair to the scalp so for a few months I wore a wig (the wig was cute and no-one could tell since it looked just like my hair but I hated wearing it.....it was hot)
I hope this helps a little.....if you do lose some hair it will grown back I promise you
Hugs.

It happens to just about everyone....I have thick hair and I lost quite a bit and it was thinned out a lot.... but it stopped falling out for me around 7 months post op and then it all began to grow back....
Many people use Biotin supplements to try and prevent it but I found it didnt work all that great for me.
