WLS = Another language... No? Yes?

Do you ever feel like you're talking in another language... when you talk about your pouch to a non-wls person? Like today... We were talking about McDonalds breakfast... and he mentions McGriddles, which I had no idea what they were till he said 2 pancakes and sausgage. My reply, "ICK! Pancakes turn me deadly ill!" His reply, "Whaaattttt?" I dunno, sometimes it's just weird. And when you say "My pouch just hates.... fill in the blank"... It's like they think your insane or something... Possibly even making it up and your just some hypercondriac. Does this happen to anyone else?

yes katie-bug.. I sometimes feel the same way.. referring to my stomach as a pouch.. and gas.. and dumping.. and barfing now how it's not exactly dumping.. or throwing up pre-wls is differ post-wls.. more like a hairball instead of.. well you know.. I'm sure others who suffer or have conditions feel the same tho.. I know when many here talk of depression.. I should watch what I say more. I've often times said.. "snap out of it.." like in the movie Moonstruck with Cher.. but I don't suffer depression daily.. so I don't understand how it is and effects people easily. Soo... I should show more compassion there.. along with other things. make sense.. or am I rambling..

Completely makes sense! When people talk about depression -- I ALWAYS want to say the SAME THING! I guess, some would say I'm in denial about, myself when it comes to depression but I won't take pills to control my emotions. I tried, and I think they make ya feel worse. BTW: I LOVE that movie! I was having issues with 2 neighbors -- and my mom quoted smething from that movie... "Just tell them the line from Moonstruck... I don't **** where you eat!" (I THINK thats the quote...)
