damn air conditioning..

it's fixed no shopping for me today.. guess I'll have to stay here and work today suppose to be around 96 today with heat index in 100's.. what the heck did we do before air.. I do remember my aunt not having air as a kid.. and I remember as a kid having a window air-conditioner in the attic were my sister and I had our bedrooms.. then years later getting central air. does everyone here have air?? do you have any war stories of not having air?? and does anyone here work in the heat??

My building is either freezing or hot as hell...and it's usally freezing in the winter and hot in the summer...I think they get a discount if they run the air in the winter or something.... I have 1500 people in this building though so it's bound to not please everyone... We didn't have central air when I was a kid, I just remember when u were a kid, it didn't seem as hot for some reason... I just remember my parents would break out the slip 'n' slide or sprinkler or those little cheap plastic swimming pools when it got hot... Then we moved and got a real inground pool...and summers were never hot.... Of course I grew up 1000 yards from Lake Erie....so I could go swim whenever I wanted too...

I remember *kinda* I was too young but I think I remember swimmin in a galvanized washtub.. in my rubber pants and running thru the sprinklers.. and stepppin on bees that was before the neighbors got a real pool.. where we then spent the summers playing marco polo.. i ended up the darkest little blonde kid.. i was hawt

I do have window air in my apartment though it is struggling to keep up with the heat. Growing up we had central air but parents rarely turned it on!! I used to work in a t-shirt print shop that had air but you could never tell since I had to stand by the dryers!! I think i lost 10 pounds that summer

umm.. I need to find me a dryer.. I should have went to the local laundrymat that does not have air yesterday and did clothes there instead of shoppin btw... where is your AVATOR young lady

its so cold in my office I have a little space heater on right now. I dont have air at my house. except for a window unit...which right now cannot keep up it seems. I grew up without any air (made breathing a challenge) we just had fans. my mom JUST got air for the first time since I've known her. (34 years now) sorry you cant shop again rhonda. (dork) ok, gotta go work now. (yuck) I'm trying to be a good employee. (it sucks) (apparently I'm big on ( ) things today.

i came in and went straight to the air like controls.. one/two in every room.. very old building.. and turned them off it was nippie.. well I left one on low.. a girl *Michelle* uses her space heater all the time too.. we have to make sure it's off when we use the toaster oven tho.. else the circuit breaker turns off.. and we scramble to go fix it.. it's okay.. I'm just glad I got to shop on .50cent Monday altho most items I wanted were green.. and green wasn't half price or .50 I need to bag up sooo much stuff *like Lois did* and take there.. not sure when I will do that tho now.. be a good employee.. my big boss was just up here.. I called to see what happened to the little boss.. her car was outside earlier and now is gone.. she came up and said where's Kim.. I said she's off on vacation this week.. she said the little boss is out on medical leave.. and Lyn *other co-worker* will be late waiting on man to come and look at her air-conditioner. Last week Lyn was late cuz her dog had to poop she's always late.. Michelle is mad cuz they say she has a bad attitude.. yet people never *** to work or is late.. and SHE gets yelled at.. I just sit here and mind my own buziness.. they call me Canada..neutral country I better work now
