oh my.
As if my life didn't suck enough already. My baby deaf girl had to be put down. Scarfy and Mike went for a walk today and she just fell over(Is what Mike said), he took her to the ER vet and she was dead by the time he got there.
Remember my greatdane rescue from jersey from 4 months ago....
Vet told mike it was a heat stroke.
Bull ******g **** it was a heat stroke.....It's ******g raining out and today's high is 80. Faaawk me man...That was not our regular vet, I have no idea what kind of vet these people are. I switched her food with all of the recalls there is no possible way my month of feeding sencible choice killed her kidneys that bad...I have no idea what she was eating before, the pound said whatever donations they got. Dude this can't be right. She showed no signs of anything. I love my girls, I examine them almost daily for bumps, lumps, eyes nostrils ears....There is no way she had a heat stroke. Mike says absolutely not, but I over ruled him and called the vet to do an autopsy. I know that sounds gross to some, but there is no way that one of MY dogs had a heat stroke when it's pouring down rain and not even 80 degrees out.
I'm irritated, pissed, mad, sad, nearly violent. I swear to ******g Christ...when it rains it pours in my world. Stupid **** Bah...bye
oh lizzie i'm sorry
what about her heart. one of my fosters had a heart condition where he could have basically died at any moment. his heart would just explode basically...
I doubt it was heat stroke. some vets are idiots.
but regardless the cause, I am sorry to hear about your furbaby
now I want to go hug bruno.
((((lizzie))))
(want a boxer...we have some available )
Liz you have our most sincere sympathies. we understand completely, these pets are our friends and family and a vet's dismissal of cause is extremely upsetting. I hope you get some answers that make it easier to cope.
We're sad for your Scarfy but glad that she had a loving home with people who cared for her. i love people who have such big hearts and share their love with our furry friends.
A few of my parent's pets have had similar mishaps and I truly understand how you feel. Two of my best friends (Benny and Sammy) just stopped breathing and died. Both on their way home from the dog park (years apart) with no apparent cause. I still cry when i think about it.
Hugs and love to you and Mike.
