Flight of the Conchords
ok, i know no one here gives a f*ck besides me but i can't resist talking about it as it cracks me up so much... this weeks episode the NZ consulate has a new poster:
New Zealand: It's not part of Australia.
If you know any kiwis you know how funny that is! They get so upset when Americans confuse NZ and Australia or expect the people to be the same with the same accents.
I love this show!
I tried to watch that, but I just can't get into it. That and John from Cincinatti. What is that about???? I think one has to be stoned to even know what it's about.
Bindi turned 9. I think she's Australian, but it could be New Zealand. I know Keith Urban is from NZ and Nicole is from Austalia. Geez...I'm just fro Oklahoma.
i LOVE John From Cincinnati and i would think Christians would like it even more than me. I think John is Jesus but i'm really not sure yet. At first i thought he was an alien but now he's all about the word of his father and his father's power etc. The first episode was difficult but i kep****ching because it was quirky but then i was HOOKED. Last week John gave a "sermon" that was out of this world. That show is amazing. It's definitely about spirituality and higher power although it's very cryptic.
Bindi is Australian. I don't know anything about Keith Urban.
I had to turn it last Sunday when he appeared to Sissy telling her to baptize the gun and not kill herself. Just to think she did that was Butchy as a boy was bothersome. It is a quirky show. Maybe I just haven't given it a chance. I couldn't stand Big Love at first, but it's ok now. So, maybe I'll give "John" one more chance.
but that was a very important part of the plot. it explains why Sissy is so angry and hateful and why Butchy's life became a junkie's mess. it's something from which John is healing them both. that kind of stuff really happens, what's important is not how wrong it is, but how they're both healing from the devastation it caused in their lives. Until that was revealed i could not understand Rebecca de Mornay's character and thought it was stupid that she was so angry all the time, now it makes sense. John explained, she hates herself, has never forgiven herself and makes everyone else hate her so that she can never be in a position to do anything like that again. the show develops VERY slowly. It takes a lot of patience if you're looking for easy answers.
