Flight of the Conchords

Anyone else watching Flight of the Conchords? Kellee? I really like it. It's like a smarter, better Tenacious D. "New Zealand. It's like Lord of the Rings!"

nope... but sounds like Daniel may like it... is it REALLY like Lord of the Rings.. or is that just a quote that I don't recognize

Flight of the Conchords is about two musician/comedians from New Zealand who go to New York. When they go the NZ consulate there, there is a poster that says New Zealand, Like Lord of the Rings. It's supposed to be funny. Maybe it's just funny to me cause i've been there.... LotR was filmed there and everywhere you go are places from the movie and everywhere you go, they're trying to cash in on that. Their Airline even has planes that are painted on the outside with characters from the movies. You almost get the feeling that LotR is their main industry. Also everywhere you go people refer to Peter Jackson (director of LotR) on a first name basis. It's hilarious, Peter this and Peter that.
