Brian May of Queen
Oh yeah, I definitely agree with you on that. The article said he started his research on something psychics oriented in 1972 and then Queen took off. He stopped. A few years ago, some university in England gave him an honorary doctorate. The man bucked up, finished his thesis, and graduates in May of next year with his real PhD.
This definitely shows me I'm going back for my masters. It won't be this next month; probably start it in January. A fast track program; 2 nights a week and a thesis (like my bachelor's degree) from a private Christian school in 13 months. My bachelor's is from a Wesleyan University, even though I'm not Wesleyan, a branch of Methodists or vice versa. But private universities like that look more "real" on a resume than the U of Phoenix. Sadly, that has been classified by a great many companies as "gimme" degrees worth nothing. I don't know, since I've never went there, but even if my Univserities do about the same thing, they don't have the stigma involved. I just hate going further into debt when I have 11 yrs to go to retirement. My degrees will be needed for my second career. I may wait, but then again if I start next year, I can take certificate programs to keep me updated, which won't make the degree obsolete by then.
Again though, kudos to Brian. A truly successful man in many many different areas.
