Warning...kvetching in this post
So it's been a crappy day so far...
...forgot to grab a protein bar before I left the house
...spent 3 hours waiting to see my gyn about a couple of girlie issues I'm having.
...my soon to be 90 year old gram fell to last night and is in the hospital. They did an x-ray of her hip and they didn't see anything broken, but she is in severe pain and cannot move her leg or bear weight on it. They are doing a CT scan tonight to see if there might be a hairline fracture.
...we had plans for Friday night to take my Gram and my Mom to The Rattlesnake Club for dessert and coffee in celebration of their birthday's this month. It's a very posh place that is normally nice a place we would frequent because of their prices but we thought we would be a nice way to celebrate. My littlest brother is the head pastry chef there and he will be transferring to their new restaurant in Palm Springs, CA in September so he was going to make our desserts for us and give us a tour of his kitchen. I had to cancel it I hope we can do it in August before he leaves but I'm not sure.
...the girls in my wedding are having a hard time finding a dress. Even i am having a hard time finding a dress for them. We are running out of time...
...I didn't get my walk in because of my long dr appt
...I ate bread and pretzels and sf candies...can you say *emotional eating*
...drank ZERO water
I am feeling very mad at myself.
This kvetching session is now over.
I forgive you
now give yourself a hug cuz..YOU
got out of bed today
went to your gyn to have your girlie issues taken care of
have a gram that you love and she loves you very much and thankfully is in a hospital being cared for
have a wedding scheduled with a man that you love with all your heart
got to eat some yummie stuff that wasn't the best for you but oh well, it tasted good
can still drink SOME water now...
LIFE IS STILL SOOOO GOOD
Thanks Rhonda...
I know I have a lot to be thankful for and I'm not a complainer by nature but sometimes...it just feels good to spill your guts.
Right now I'm drinking a latte. Bought Asian summer rolls for Jay and I for dinner. Jay was sure he wasn't going to like them but he tried it and he thought they were pretty good. So things are on the up-swing.
Oh..I know.. I do my (*****in) to the girls at work usually..
glad Jay liked 'em.. I just had most of a hamburger (no bun) and a bite of roasted chicken that I picked up from the store (already cooked)
I'm trying to hold out until the Big AA meeting at 8.. I'm fighting off running and putting my jammies on like I normally do when I *** home from work.
I miss Publix. Grocery stores up here suck compared to Publix. Except the gourmet stores but they are EXPENSIVE.
I suppose it's a good thing we don't have Publix as i love their bakery's breads. when i was younger i worked in their bakery.
Publix seems so clean and roomy with so many different options compared to Farmer Jacks, Kroeger, Meijers and whatever else is around here in Michigan.
And their produce section is something i especially miss.
In FL we had Publix, Winn Dixie and Albertsons and Publix was by far the best.
Jay,
I think I gained that 100 pounds I had on my big butt BECAUSE of Publix alone
I loved EVERYTHING about Publix, my parents came for one thanksgiving, and I bought the entire meal was pre-cooked thanks to publix...it was the year I had 4 brain surgeries, so I was thankful PUBLIX cooked, I did not have to..
GOSH I miss it...they have only gotten as close as Nashville, maybe one day they will make it up to at least Memphis, (90 minutes away)
I can only hope.
ALL we have here in my town is the areas WORST Super Wal-mart..booooo.
You have way more patience than I. Three hours in waiting for a Doc is crazy. It irks me when they will charge you a fee for missing a Doc. appointment and yet no such penalty is in play for them making your wait forever to get back to their office.
Can definitely relate to the falling stiuation as well. My Grandmother on December 29th of this past year and broke her hip. She never recovered and we lost her in April. Then Cathy's Grandmother fell and suffered a hairline fracture. She is currently going through rehabilitation.
Hang in, count to 10, breathe in and out and then if it doesn't work, start to shout,
Hugz,
Ron & Cathy
Well my choices are rather limited on gyn's unfortunately. I have no medical coverage so I have had to use a clinic due to cost. They don't make appointments and their only times to be seen for normal appointments are Monday and Wednesday from 9-1 or 9-2 respectively. In addition occasionally give free samples on birth control.
So today, I spent 3 hours of my time and 70.00 but I got my six month exam, two scripts for my girlie problems and 6 months of birth control which would have cost us 120.00 alone.
So... it while the wait sucked, the outcome was pretty good.
Oh and I had a rash on my arm and i found out I have poison ivy!
The additional details provides some justification for the wait. I hate to hear you haven't any health insurance. Cathy didn't have any for a while and it bothered me. I know we don't always have control over these matters and we do the best we can.
You have the right attitude regarding the situation.
Poison ivy sucks!
September 8th is coming quickly. Woo Hoo I know everyone wants a nice wedding however for me anyways there was some relief when the ceremony was complete and I could take my new bride home.
