Aye, yii, yii, yiiii,
I am the Frito Bandito. I like Frito's Corn Chips, I love them I do. I want Frito's Corn Chips, I'll get them from you...
Oh sorry, I was just singing one of my favorite snack food jingles from the past. From 1968 through 1971, Frito Lay used the catchy jingle to advertise Frito Corn Chips. It was pulled from the airwaves as the Mexican Defamation League felt the use of the cartoon Mexican Banditio, voiced over by Mel Blanc, sent negative messages about Mexicans.
The food industry uses catchy little tunes or whatever they can think of as a hook to get consumers to buy their goods. We can all remember Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Oscar Mayer, Nestle, etc., etc. jingles that played over the airwaves and on television.
Can you provide your favorite food jingle, new or old, that gets in your head every once and a while?
Ron
Here's one that I remember well:

Almond Joys were and will always be my favorite candy bar and unfortunately they decided to offer them in 4 piece packages. Like it isn't tough enough denying yourself the 2 piece package, now you have to close your eyes to Super Size Almond Joys.
I do digress, yes the Almond Joy / Mounds jingle and the commercials have to be one of the all time best ad campaigns for a candy bar.
Oooh, I've been partial to the Goldfish crackers song for a while because it's just twisted, at least the biting their heads off part...
Here's our Jingle for goldfish
We wrote a song for Goldfish
THE TASTY SNACK THAT SMILES BACK
UNTIL YOU BITE THEIR HEADS OFF
Did you know they're made with real cheese
Even though they look like fishies?
The snack that smiles back, Goldfish
If there ever was a cookie that was created as the perfect match for milk it has to be the Oreo.
To this day I really cannot afford to have Oreo(s) in the house because I find myself mindlessly snacking on them.
Nabisco, the parent company of the Oreo has given the public quite a few jingles over the years.
