Motivating kids to do things?

Anyone have kids whom you have to continually tell them to brush teeth get dressed comb hair pack your backpack pick up this/pick up that????? I'm so tired of it lately! I have an 11 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter. I feel like the only interaction I have is to tell them what to do! I have thought of posting a list of "to do's" for them and in the morning they must refer to the list. I don't know what else to do.....any suggestions? Thanks! Karen
