Lap-Band tips?

Hi! My partner is planning to have lap-band surgery in the next month. I feel pretty educated about the surgery, diet ideas, and overall recovery.. but of course, we both will be experiencing the changes and "newness" as it happens. I'm curious about some of the emotional experiences some of you supporters/spouses have had in being with your SO before, during, and after this surgery? I can imagine everything from self-image to diet to clothing changes to new experiences in the world will happen.. and I'm interested in any stories or insights anyone's had on their journey.. thanks
