:-S Dr. Prachand in IL????????????????????/

I am considering seeing him in hopes to have a revision. I am very apprehensive since my surgeon wouldn't even consider a revision. I got pregnant very soon after a RNY. I did loose a 100 lbs. I went from 330 to 220 (gained 10 back.) Anyways as I mentioned I am still 230 lbs. The worse part is I am hungry all the time. I can eat quite a bit too. My surgeon says I prob streched my stoma or pouckh during pregnancy. I am looking for any info on this surgeon or the other surgeon in the office with him. I am on medicaid right now. I would like to know about his personality (will he judge me?) I also want to know if there are specifications set by him or medicaid for a revision. What is the procedure for seeing him?? Can I just call the office and ask to make an appointment?? What kind of testing is required?? Anything along these lines would be sooo much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Angela

I had my DS with Dr. Alverdy which is Dr. Prachand's associate at the UoC. While I was in the hospital, Dr. Prachand came by to check on me since Dr. Alverdy was unavailable. He seems really nice and I have met him a few times since. I think you will find him or Dr. Alverdy very easy to talk to and work with. I do know you will have to be armed with information and a good argument for the revision. They look after your best health interest and won't just revise because someone wants one. Thank you for replying. I did talk to the nurse prac in the office and she convinced me to try appetite supressants and food log for 6 mos. I have lost about 5 pounds in 6 weeks (not great). Can you tell me a little about your story. I would really appreciate it. My private email is [email protected]. What kind of documentation did you need to show? What kind of questions did they ask??
