Can someone tell me a revision carry the same risk as the 1st time you have the surgery. I had the RNY 2003.

My Dr. said a revision can be the same or up to twice as risky, IF health is about the same and depending on patient. But if health is worse, risk could be even higher! Check with your Dr. to help determine your personal risk. Patty

My doctor sd for a revision to a RNY the morbidity rate increased from 2 % to about 30 %. Sounds a little high to me but that's what he said. Angela
