Help! I need all I can get. Anyone know anything about ICD coding? I had a vbg that has fallen apart and is giving a pain. My insurance covered it completey. Since then they have discontiued covering this. I pay over 1200 month for this blue cross thru my work. They will not cover fixing the problem they told me as long as it had to do with baraiatrics. My Surgeon had a one on one call with the insurance doc and told him this sugery was to fix my GERD. But it his coded as a revision to RNY. Does anyone know the icd code for a RNY not associated with baraitrics. The office of my surgeon is a pain even though he is great. I had to make an appt with him just to get past the guard dogs at the gate. Help Patty

Hi Patty... I had a vbg done in 98 and just had a revision done in 04 to rny I dont know the coding but good luck... I had bcbs and they covered it with no problem as a revision debra
