new here have ?s on failed RNY LAP

I am almost 2 yrs post op in Aug. only lost 25 lbs total. I am asking my doctor this Thrs to redo it at his cost, as I am no longer insured. Has anyone else had success with these demands or can tell me what to expect here on out? What kind of revision should I request. I feel this is his fault do to a Hiatal Hernia I had during surgery that he did not discover till a day later while I was still in hospital. It left my stomach much bigger than intended. When I asked him what was going to be done to correct it he responded with there would be no need for correction I would still get same results it would just take longer. He was wrong.
