Hello My name is Jessie, I haven't been here in a really long time, I had a baby back in November and gained 26 pounds with him, now making me 30 pounds from my goal, I am having a really hard time trying to get back on track, should I restart atkins? I have gotten used to carbs again while being pregnant with the baby, and after he was born he had a lot of problems and was in and out of the hospitals so I had lived off of hospital food for weeks, He will now be 5 months old this week and there is no more excuse for me not to start getting back on top of things. I am a over a year post op, I will be 2 years post on May 12th I would love to be close to my goal till then, I feel like such a failure I was 302 at the start then I was down to 165 pre pregnancy and now I am back to 185 My goal is to be 150. If I restart the atkins is it 2 weeks all protein and then 25 grams of carbs? Anything that can help would be greatly welcomed. oh also nothing makes me dump anymore Jessie

First, Jessie let me say that you are not a failure and your weight loss was fantastic! Congratulations! I have regained 30+ pounds from a 130 pound loss and I was not pregnant. I am 2 1/2 years post op and nothing makes me dump either. Though the folks on the ObesityHelp Chat Room, I have been able to change my style of eating. I am eating the way I ate after the weight loss surgery. As soon as I have hernia repair, I will begin an excersize regement. Jessie, it is also an emotional time for you and your hormones may still be out of wack. I applaud you on your weight loss and know your will be back on track in no time. Give yourself a pat on the back. Job well done! Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! Anna Maria

Do either one of you have a "micropouch"?

I had the open RNY. I don't know if it's a micropouch or not. I just know it's smaller. Anna Maria

Hello Jessie, I'm on the Bama Board alot and I couldnt sleep so I decided to browse...one of my bama friends have sent me this "kick start program" to get people back on track if they have more than 20 pounds to loose...its strict...I dont remember what all it had on it but I can e-mail it to you if you would like...I think it was something like eat all protein and vegs..no more than 10 grams of carbs on a meal (something like that)..no sugars....I cant remember but I could send it to you, just e-mail me if you want more info....good luck....Staci
