Revision through Aetna

Just curious if anyone has had revison going from VGB or Gastroplaty to a RNY and used Aetna.. if so, what were the requirements, how long did it take to get approved, etc. Thanks

Casey, great name BTW, my daughter's name is Kasey. Anyway, I had a revision through Aetna. I went from a lapband to DS. From what I hear it is pretty easy to get them to pay for a revision to RNY, but I didn't want that so I fought them for the DS. They require that you be 2 years post-op from your original surgery and have lost less than 50% of your excess weight. I met both qualifications. Hope this helps!
