Insurance approval for revision

I'm looking for anyone who has been successful getting insurance approval for revision surgery even though their policy allows for only one WLS in a lifetime. Please email me at [email protected].

Well, I havn't heard back from my insurance yet, (waiting) its Blue Cross, I just wondered what policy you had that only allowed for once in a lifetime. I had the VBG in 97 and initially slowly lost about 50 lbs but then I had an unplanned pregnancy and never really reached my goal, so now I am trying to go in for the RNY, I have found a surgeon in Atlanta that will do my revision, if my insurance will approve. I am a single mom and any other payment is out of the question. However I spoke with the nutritionist today and she said they had dealt with several others who had this issue and the prior surgery actually worked to their advantage with the insurance because they recognized it was nowhere near as effective.
