Gained back so much

I had VSG almost 4 years ago- I have regained over 60% of my total loss. I feel terrible, my GERD has returned. EGD this week to survey the damage.
Trying SO HARD to get back on track. Doc wants me to consider a revision because of my horrible GERD. For a minute, I was totally on board with it, but i'm afraid i'll have even more issues post op. he reassures me that I WON'T, but i'm still looking for some results without surgery. I had GERD pre-op, and with my regain the GERD has worsened. at my lowest it was almost totally gone.

wow! I could have written ur post-had VSG 3 years ago and have gained back all but 30 pound of the weight I lost. I too have severe GERD-I am seeing a different doc and she says they should have done rny to begin w bc of my GERD issue prior to VSG. Anyway, I'm having a revision on 11/1. I really would like this one to b successful -trying to get my mind right. I don't want to struggle w this unhealthy eating habits for the rest of my life! I am a sugar addict. I am planning on following the diet this time. Last time I did great for the first 5 months then started reintroducing bad food back into my diet. How r u doing?
Thanks for posting
I too am trying to get on track after gaining back over 100 of the 250 lost, have an appt with a specialist next month and hoping he can help me. Been tracking my food and trying to do more physical things.
I feel like such a failure because I had overcome so much.
Good Luck

All, just wanted to check in and let everyone know I am doing GREAT. got some pretty sobering news from my EGD-nothing I want to share at this point- but it was exactly what I needed to kick my tail into shape.
I started Keto just a few weeks ago and am down 20 lbs and counting. This way of eating is completely effortless for me AND so filling. I am incredibly satiated and that seems to make a HUGE difference. The hubs has jumped on the bandwagon with me and we are having fun finding new recipes, trying new things, etc.
The VERY best news- I drank my very last soda the day after the EGD and have not had one since. I have found sugar free substitutes of diet iced tea, various vitamin waters, etc. I don't miss it at all.
My blood pressure has normalized and my GERD is totally under control already!
Feeling great, just wanted to report!!!
