NEED HELP TO GET BACK ON TRACK!!!

Hello, I am fairly new to OH.

01/25/2011 - VSG Surgery (263 lbs)

02/01/2012 - got pregnant (184 lbs)

09/25/2012 - had baby (231lbs)

01/05/2013 - lost 26lbs after having baby(205 lbs)

Today - 217lbs

I am in desperate need of help on how to get back on track, before I got pregnant I was loosing the weight and stayed on track very well.  Once I got pregnant, I was hungry all the time and gain a lot more than I was supposed to.  Once I had the baby, I was able to loose about 26lbs fairly easy (I think because I was breastfeeding).  Then I went back to work and the pounds started creeping up on me, without even thinking I have been snacking and are able to eat more.  I am up to 217lbs again and very scared that I have ruined my sleeve for good and won't be able to get on track.  I am hungry all the time and seem to be picking at food all day long.

I am trying to go back to the basics and started logging all my food intake and exercising more.  I have been doing it for the last 3 weeks, but I am still not seeing any results (weight loss) and I am HUNGRY all the time.  DID I RUIN MY SLEEVE???

Greatly appreciate any input from anyone that has gone thru this.  Any suggestions on what to do to get back on track.  I am getting frustrated and disappointment on myself for letting the pounds back on.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Thank you,

I think you know what to do!

Track, measure, log all food

Make an appt with your Nutritonist

Attend WLS Support group in your area, reconnect with those folks

Exercise, log it, surround yourself with people that are doing the same thing

Eat your vitamins

It's tough but you can do it, and sinking your energy into this will alleviate the frustration and disappointment!!

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

I'm in the same boat as you girl!  But I'm bound and determined to get back on track again too.  I agree with the other person who answered your plea...  You have to log everything to keep track so you can see where you are messing up mostly.  And that's what I've started to do too.  I also intend to start walking on my treadmill everyday.  Everything helps...and I'm not giving up on myself!!

BTW I had originally lost 95 lbs but gained back 40.  But in the last 3 weeks I've lost 7 lbs so now I weigh 205.  It's not much but it's a start.  And I drink about 6 bottles (500 ml/ 2 cups) of water a day(12 cups) ..been doing that for years though and I can't live without bottled water now.  I want to get down to at least 150.  I just have to remember to stay on track and not stray...to craving for sweets will fade.  So don't give up...I haven't.

Most of the stretchy part of your stomach was removed, so I don't think you've done damage to it.  You've just got to get your hunger under control, that's where I think focusing on low carb, high protein will help with your cravings.  Tracking your food will help - I'm no expert just my two cents - good luck to you and congrats on your baby:)
