hard knocks vs hard lumps

I got wls back in 2006, lap band. I did great until a year and a half ago. Had gained a couple of pounds so I went in for a fill. Came out not being able to eat or drink, aspirating stomach acid at night all that fun stuff. I was so scared that I would regain all my weight that I did not want to go in for an unfill. I wasnt able to excercise much due to some other unrelated health problems. Anyway when I gained back some weight, I figured hell I was going through was not worth it, so went in to doc to get some saline out. So of course over this last year I have gained even more weight. If I gain twenty more pounds I will be at my pre surgery weight. So not happy. Anyway, I have been having some pain in upper stomach. Sometimes in between rib cage, sometimes right under rib cage on left side. My stomach is a little tender to the touch but its not like im going to the medicine cabinet. I was feeling around the port and can feel these hard lumps or areas in my stomach close to the port. I take omeprazole which has always taken care of the reflux. My uppet stmach feels swollen and bloated, but maybe that is just fat I have no fever no redness......so just wondering what could be going on? Has anyone heard of this before...any info or input would be greatly appreciated. Oh I also have no restriction, I can even eat bread without getting stuck! Thank you

I just had my band to DS revision. I too had the same symptoms...for years. I only lost about 20 lbs with the band. After a while all my joints ached and my ribs did too....and that darn port site was aleays palpable...sore...especially when Iwould be doing dishes leaning up against it. Maybe you should look into revising....Idont regret it at all. Good luck to you

Hey thanks for responding! I am starting to have worse problems now and just want this band out! I am thinking of a revision as well, to ds. How is your revision going? I have an appointment set up for july 10th but hoping to get in sooner. All of a sudden I cant eat any solid food, even mushies wont go down!:-(

best thing i ever did. not only do i feel better w the band being out...i can eat and in 5 months down 80 lbs. wish i had this done the first time around. you wont regret it.
