PCOS and failing my WLS
I am in the same boat as you!!!
I had RNY three years ago ( in 2 weeks). I lost 130 lbs and have gained back 47!!! My PCOS was gone for four months after surgery and it came back... Dr says 99 percent are cured of PCOS and I am the exception. I think PCOS has a lot to do with gaining back weight because I dont eat half of the things I did before but I keep gaining... my doctor thinks I am using it as an excuse and not realizing all that I am eating during the day. I just got a referral for a nutritionist and blood sugar monitor. I am interested to see what your endocrinologist has to say, they all seem to have different takes on PCOS.
Good Luck!

I have PCOS. I know what it's like to go nuts and not get anywhere weight-wise (prior to RNY), and all the other 'lovlies' that come with.
I also know someone who's kicked it's @$$! Basically she does low carb, lean protiens (think Keto diet) and veggies except corn and high glysimic fruits.
She works out 4 times a week for an hour.
I've also heard of metaformin, which can help assist with PCOS. I've never been on it, but I've heard other girls mention it.

I have PCOS. PCOS, hypothyroid, and diabetes/insulin resistance are all interrelated according to the endocrinologists I've seen. A lower carb, clean (less processed) diet could definitely help you. I find whenever I eat more like that my periods return, so it's less of a function I think of what you weigh than how you eat.
