Anybody feel this way??
Feeling ridiculous!!! After 2 failed lap bands, i actually posted about possibly trying again.... One thing i remember, is yes, i loved my band.... But i was living on pringles and chocolate milk (only thing that would go down due to slippage).... My hair was falling out... I was so tired.... But hey i was skinny and looking hot!!! ThIs is the mind of a formerly obese woman.... 4 surgeries to put in, to remove, put in, remove.... And i still think i should do it all again to be skinny... I never learned anything other than how to basically starve myself to be thin. I want to be healthy, and thin. I have little ones i want to be active with. But all i do right now is sit around and think about all the ways i can loose weight...and never do them. I feel itis too hard of a battle, and i eventually loose anyway..... I have gained back 75 of the 120 i originally lost. I hate looking in the mirror, and um i hate being intimate with my poor hubby....he married a skinny me :( he loves me anyways but i dont love me. Has anybody truley found a way to overcome eating stresses and addictions and maintained their health? I mean, i even failed at a surgical way to loose weight.... This stinks.... Not looking for much, just some support and maybe some help.... Thanks all....
I truly feel where your coming from. I had gastric bypass in 2004, I did really well for about 5 years, well put it this way, I learned how to starve myself and live on taco meat and margaritas, lol. I did work out alot as well. But with the ups & downs of life food came back into the picture. I lost about 120 lbs, I have since gained back half of that and am back up to the low 200's.
I'm gonna try the 5day pouch test, and hopefully I am committed enough to even complete the 5 days.
But I will definitely continue to come back to this site for support and inspiration. i feel you should do what you must in order to be happy and satisfied. Even if that means having another surgery. But definitely stay close to your support system.
Good luck and we'll be talking.

The lap band is notorious for being a failure and to put a second band on after having trouble with the first one is insanity. If they fail once they will fail again. I'm not bashing you but just saying that the band has been a failure for many, many of us.
My best advise is to look at revising to a completely different surgery, myself I plan to get a sleeve (VSG-vertical sleeve gastrectomy)when I can qualify. Also sounds like you could use some counseling to get a more realistic view of a healthy slim lifestyle. I wish you well just please forget about another band. Actually Allergan is being investigated by the government about the band not working the way they say it does, so you certainly aren't the only one with this problem.

kudos to your surgeon. I wish more would get real and pass this on to patients. Down 60 than back up 60 with medical band related issues. Down 50 with the band UNFILLED, still with medical issues.
The other surgeon in the practice is now saying the sleeve to do Atkins (the only diet that worked) Band = liquid diet. Where was he when I was trying to figure out what to do.
