how much is me, how much is the band?

Greetings!  I had the lap-band in January 2005, lost about 65-70% of my excess weight, and then found myself pregnant w/ my first child just 9 mos post-op.  We knew we wanted to have babies, so it wasn't an unpleasant surprise (planning to have children was one of the factors contributing to my choice to get the lapband instead of the RNY), but my weight loss ended.  Since then I had another child, and our family is complete.  Yay.  But I have regained nearly all of the weight back.  Over the years I tried to get back on track by getting fills, but I never seemed to hit the sweet spot.  Always too loose or too tight.  We discovered shortly after the birth of my son that my band had slipped, and so my surgeon revised my band and put in the then-preferred band (I forget which one....).  This was spring 2009.  And then my insurance changed and doesn't cover anything obesity or WLS related.  Ugh!  I was terrified of messing around with it for fear that it would slip again, or some other problem would arise.  It looks like we'll be getting a new insurance soon that will cover WLS and obesity-related visits.  I am thinking about revising to the RNY.  But I feel kind of adrift and confused.  Any comments, thoughts, ideas, suggestions, commiserations, whatever?  Thanks!
