Any info on having gastric bypass twice
Has anyone every heard of anyone having the gastric bypass twice? I paid for my gastric bypass two years ago and lost 120lbs or so but have had no loss in a while, I feel a bit of restriction but can eat any food I want...my wonder is if I could get it done again?? Not really a case of the surgery failing but me failing....it is a tool not a miracle

If you feel that you have failed the surgery, then why would you want to have it again? What would be different this time?
Maybe you just got the wrong surgery for what you need. At your BMI you should really consider the DS. It is the best surgery for people with BMIs over 50 and has the best stats as far as losing weight and keeping it off, not to mention resolution of comorbidities.
The RNY can be revised to a DS but only a few surgeons do this surgery because it is very complicated. You might want to go to the DS board and read about it, also you can check out the revisions board. Another place to check out is dsfacts.com.

WLS 10/28/2002 Revision 7/23/2010

It is possible to have an RNY revision. This is something I am looking into with my surgeon now. In my case, the surgeon did an endoscopy and said that I have a stretched stoma. The revision he would like to do is go in and reduce the size of the stoma and reduce the size of the stomach pouch. This is not stomaphix or ROSE surgery.
Anyway, that's an option...as is RNY to DS, but only a handful of surgeons do that type of revision. Apparently, it's a very difficult surgery.
