My body can only 1000 calories UGH!
Well I've found the combination and it's not easy. In order for me to continue losing I need to have net of only 1000 calories at the end of the day. And if I go above a net of 1000 calories the weight almost immediately returns. This entails daily exercise and some times exercising twice per day.
This WLS recovery from setbacks is not for the faint of heart. It takes work and discipline and, to be honest, its hard. But is must be done, I can't go back to 326! So, another day of fighting my body! I understand your body will always fight you to go back to it's highest. So keeping fighting.
I plan to!!!

Hi Jewel
Every surgery is different. Some people are sick every time they eat. Some people malabsorb so much that they need excessive vitamin routines. Some people are limited with the food choices they can eat or they dump. Some people have revisions. I plan to keep fighting too. I hope you are well. Tri

Hi all,
I too have to fight to keep it off. I got down to 170 in january that was 15 months post. but since then I bounced up 5 lbs then a few months later 5 more now ive gain another 5... i have been depressed these past two months and falling back into old habits of tring to lift me out of the downer with carbs and sugar... my life if great best husband in the world I just dont understand depression. I thought if I got the weight off that it would not come back... while I was losing I did feel depressed one single day...I never made it to my goal. I came within 20 lbs and started back up. I was wondering if anyone has been there... can i get this weight back off? how do I keep my head on straight... I sound like loone but really I'm not...I just dont want to gain back the 100 I got off...

I would recommend adding strength training to your exercise regime. Building lean muscle mass will help to increase your metabolic rate, so that you can eat a few more calories and not gain weight. The more body fat that you have and the less lean muscle mass you have, will set you up for weight regain, inability to lose weight, and/or not being able to eat very much.
You also have to change up your exercise. Your body gets used to certain things, then it doesn't have to work as hard, thus you burn less calories. The lower in weight that you get, the slower the weight loss and more that you have to change things up on a daily or weekly basis. If you are working out twice/day, then you may not be getting enough calories and your body is holding onto the weight.

Good counsel. Thanks... I started working out with a trainer twice a week and he echoes your sentiment about changing up on workouts. He's actually killing me. But its a good thing.
This weight loss and maintenance is hard work. I don't think I realized how much at the start of this journey.
The fight continues.
