Hello everyone...I had WLS in 2005, in 2008 I was at my lowest weight and became pregnant...During the pregnancy I gained TOO MUCH weight and now I am trying to lose again...I have about 30-40 lbs to lose to get back to the weight I was before I became pregnant and I seem to be at a stand still. I go to the gym,  eat fairly healthy...Try to get proteins and stay away from sugars, but wanted to know if there is something that I can do to jump start my system again. IE maybe a liquid diet for 2 weeks again like Pre Op? All suggestions Welcome
Thanks

Good Luck to you!! There are alot of us trying to get back on the band wagon after regain for any number of reasons.

I never quite got to "Onderland" and then I gained nearly 30 lbs. I had to wrap my mind around what was happening. I started logging what I ate and drank as well as when I was eatting and drinking to help me identify problem areas. I did realize that I was eating way to frequently to help soothe the burning in my stomach. turns out my ulcer was back. That doesn't fully explain the regain but it helps. So now my surgeon is going to scope me to get a handle on the ulcer and help me get back on track.

If you've tried on your own - maybe call your surgeon or nutritionist to help get things back on track. Hopefully they'll remind you of some of those simplier rules that we all know but seem to overlook.

Good Luck.

I'm in the same boat.

Surgery in 04(305 pounds), got down to about 140, had babies and quit smoking and now I'm nearly 180 pounds down 20 from when I started panicking of the weight gain.

Here's what I've been doing(for 2+ months now) and it's working....

I log everything everyday at myfitnesspal.com

I eat 1200 calories a day.(myfitness keeps track of food and exercise.)

I jog/run 3 miles a day. I use nike+ to keep me accountable.

I do 20 sets of stairs in my house.

I'm not cheating.

Good Luck!

Thank you for the info I think that I also will try to track my food intake.....It sucks to have to do extra work in order to lose weight since I was doing sooooooo well before the babies......I hope that I will begin to lose from tracking food cause I am currently around 188-195 and was 145 before baby came.....I am NOT comfortable at all and would love to have DS   but no having much lock:(   Please keep me informed on your weight loss and hopefully I will become a loser again:)

Ive read on the boards that when people gain for what ever reason they go back to post op. Clear for a wk then reg liquid for a wk then mushie and that gets them back on track.

good luck hon
