Phentermina
I was wondering the same thing. My Dr. just prescribed this for me, but I have to admit it causes a little tightness in my chest, but that may also be because I've read the side effects on the internet and may be bringing it on myself. lol My concern right now is I just remembered we really aren't supposed to take "time-released" drugs because they go directly into our bloodstream...maybe that's why this dosage is effecting me this way. I took a half and didn't have the feeling. BUT, the drug company says not to break or crush because it goes into your bloodstream quickly. Hmmm... Anyway, I've only taken it a couple of times. I've gained 80 lbs back since my surgery in Dec 2003. I'm so disappointed in myself. I'm thinking about a revision, but thought I'd give this a try first. Good luck to you!
I'm 5 yrs post op and in 2008 I took those pills for 3 mths. I lost 30 pds and was able to maintain for about a year. But now Ive gained those 30+pds back. I broke the pill in 1/2 when I was taking it and it really did give me the energy to get up and start walking, drank more water and I ate less. I would recommend trying it but do a 1/2 pill first. I am actually thinking about starting them again, now that I know I have to really keep up with it once I lose. But like I said, I kept the extra 30 pds off for a year, then my husband returned from Iraq and all old eating habits returned. They really work but it's not a long term pill. When I researched it you should only take it for up to 12 wks then stop for a while.

I like it and I only take it sporadically. It helps to put the brakes on when you just can't seem to stop the grazing.
