Adipex Diet Pills after Lapband stalls???
Okay, if you've read my previous post you'll know that I support sweat equity to support weight loss... I'm in the gym 4 or 5 xs per week for at least one hour. I measure my foods and so on.... So I'm so confused that I've been toying around with the same weight now for about 4 months. It's very frustrating and I'm beginning to feel like why even try. I'm seriously considering visiting one of those weight loss clinics that gives you a B12 shots, coupled with Adipex.
The idea of going there really upsets me because I thought that once my tool was in place, those days were over. Help anyone who has been there... What did you do? Really, would Adipex for about 4 weeks be so wrong?
BTW - My last fill was Jan. 16th 2010 at which point my Dr. withdrew all the CCs from my band and found that I was missing roughly 4CCs. She couldn't explain how this could occur, just filled my band. The restriction from that fill lasted around 2 weeks. I cannot afford to go in for a fill every month. Please HELP!

I had a RNY in February 2005, last year I joined one of those LA Weightloss Centers, for a $236 charge ($30 was for blood tests, but ongoing the monthly charge would have been $206 for pills and weekly B12 shots). After 2 months, I lost no weight. I assumed it was because my insides are "wired differently", but I really don't know the reason. I was prescribed a Phentermine - having been told by the clinic that this was by far the most powerful prescription weight loss pill available - and I kid you not, it suppressed my appetite maybe for the first 2 or 3 days. After that, I only felt a bit "speedy" but not insanely pumped or in any way not in need of food =).
So that was my experience.... anyone out there know if gastric bypass completely alters reactions to weight loss pills?
Thanks-

They fibbed. Phentermine isn't at all strong. It is one of the few drugs doctors will use to control hunger BECAUSE it is not at all strong and less likely to have addiction issues.
I have ADHD and I used to take Dexedrine. While it works differently in ADHD folks and really doesn't do what it does to others, it never really did anything for my hunger. But that's a heavy hitter drug.
