If you are completely unfilled, and you are throwing up all of the time and have bad heartburn AND chest pains, YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR BAND REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.

Get a legal Aid Lawyer, consult and threaten to sue Bluewater Clinic ( I read you on the OH Ontario Board) to have them take it out as failed surgery from one of their docs ( Dr. J. no longer practicing as lost his license, presume it was him) and they have a responsibility to make their surgery right or remove the band...

As it is an emergency, why not try MIS group of surgeons, who do surgery at  Humber as they do private practice banding as well as OHIP covered RNY...maybe they van do an OHIP covered "revision" to Rny all int he same surgery to take out your band, covered by OHIP...They may prefer to do it in 2 surgeries, but at least the band would be out and maybe covered by OHIP...Call Dr. Laz Klein's office or any of the MIS surgeons practicing at Humber ( Hospital Toronto)  Call Humber Bariatric section for info on doctors practicing there, then go see one of them, or go to Humber's Emergency for immediate attention asking for one of their bariatric surgeons to help you, consult with you......  Good luck...you deserve help and OHIP should step in as bad complication and now a emergency...

Here's a website for you to look at:  contact MIS for revision fromband to VSG or Rny,and ask about possibility of having OHIP cover the whole shebang....also contact legal aid lawyer in your area about suing ( consults are free)  so you know what your legal options are....

Edited to add:

Humber River Regional Hospital has a bariatric surgeon on duty/on call 24/7 at it's Bariatric Centre of excellence at the HRRHospital site on Finch Ave. in Downsview, Toronto...walk into Emergency with your bariatric surgery problems and OHIP will cover you as a resident of Ontario, even though you live in Sarnia.  it may be the only way to get FREE revision surgery as the hospital can't refuse you.All the MIS group of bariatric surgeons work there, and Dr. Haguen is now the chief of bariatric surgery there...get yourself over to Emergency and ask for a bariatric surgeon to see you!!!

Phone number of  HRRH Finch Ave site in Downsview/Toronto:   416-744-2500
