Is there anyone whos gone off track??
Hi! I had vertical banded gastroplasty in Nov. of 2004. I lost weight and did really well. I lost about 100 lbs. which was good. I was satisfied. I could fit in a decent size and my actual image finally fit that of the person I was inside. I was also tons healthier.... nearly no migraines, asthma didn't act up, joint pain rare..
But since then I've had a child. I gained 20 more lbs than I should during the pregnancy and since then gained prolly another 20. Right now I'm about 40 lbs over the weight I'd like to be.
Does anyone have any pointers on how to get my eating habits back on track. I can eat pretty much normal again, aside from too large portions and I'm now lactose intolerant. I know exercise is obvious, but I almost hate myself for going through all that pain and misery, only to screw it up. Help please!

First of all congratulations on your initial weight loss. As for the weight gain about 40% of us fall of track and gain some of our weight back, so you are not alone. The most beneficial thing I did was to join support group, where I found people like me and it was then I realized I was not a failure this was just the way things went. Now what you do is in your power, a support group is MAJOR, go and get back on track now buddy up with someone. You can do it, you're worth it!!

It is a way to retrain your pouch-- like starting over. Go to "5 day pouch test.com" and there it will tell you what it is and how to follow it. Myself, I gained 30 lbs.---never made it to goal. I tried the pouch test and it worked . I am down 15 lbs. The key for me is to always measure my food and to drink alot of water or Crystal Light.
