Why is it depressing?  You are making the choice to sabotage yourself.  it is something that you obviously want to do to yourself, for whatever reason.

That's what you have to work on, why you are deliberately destroying yourself.

Nobody is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to eat.  You make that choice.

I also love to eat.  I confine my eating to my regular meals, I simply refuse to snack.  That's my choice.

Instead of wondering if anyone else has the same problem, it would be a lot more constructive to get yourslef into therapy and discover why YOU have this problem.

Wow, who died and made you the food police?  I love how you go around spewing this garbage to people, many of whom are already feeling despondent as it is, without knowing other factors in their lives that may be affecting their level of weight loss success.  Your cut and dry dickheaded methodologies are little more than uninformed psychobabble.  You are a real piece of work and I pray to any and every God listening that people aren't taking anything you say to heart.  At best, you are evil and an imbecile.  At worst, there aren't enough words available to me in the English language to accurately convey the level of disdain and disgust I have for you.

Since you clearly know everything and have all the answers and are the perfect picture of success, then why did you have surgery in the first place?  If it really is so plain and simple, then why do thousands upon thousands of individuals fail with their WLS choice (particuarly RNY and Lap Band.)  Clearly there is something much, much bigger that comes into play in many of these cases.  It's not always as easily explainable as calories in/calories out.  (Do a little more research into metabolic issues, genetic factors with obesity, thyroid abnormalities, etc.)  You, being as educated and decorated as you have claimed, should know this above and beyond the general population.  I pity you, your lack of compassion, and above all else, the level of ignorance and verbal diarrhea you continue to smear all over the place.

Leave people alone unless you are intimately familiar with their situation and/or have something CONSTRUCTIVE to add.

Oh, and just for good measure, go **** yourself.

Melody, I could not of said it better myself. Different people have different issues as to why we are fat in the first place. It is not so simple to just stop eating so much. If that were the case none of us would have even gotten fat in the first place. Surgery doesn't change your thought pattern it only changes the amount of food you can consume. I struggled with this when I first had my surgery done over 4 years ago. My taste buds and mind wanted me to eat all of the foods that were not good for me however my new stomach would not allow me to eat certain things. I had to understand that this surgery is nothing but a tool and if you don't use the tool the right way it will not work. I have gone up and down in my weight loss journey. When I fall off track and don't use my tool the right way I gain weight but then once I get back on track and start using the tool in the right way the weight loss begins again.

I'm not trying to bash anyone or make anyone feel bad because I don't everyone individual situations. One thing I can say is quite contrary to popular opinion Gastric Bypass is not the easy way out.

OMG - I couldn't have said it better!  I have seen this guy just tear down so many people who are just looking for some encouragement and support - not a lecture.  Ugh.

Wow - sucks to be you.   You refuse to snack?   I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't snack.   Sheesh - I eat all day just to keep my weight up.    Gotta go - time for a handful of nuts.
