I am soooooo confused

I had a barium swallow and also an EGD. The doc said that my stoma is enlarged (17cm) but the pouch is of normal size (30.5 cm), she won't do stoma repair cause she feels they don't last. She also said that they found inflammation in the esophagus and the entry to sm. intestine and she took biopsies, and depending what the biopsy says she may do some sort of revision surgery.  This is getting very confusing for me and I was wondering if anyone has heard of such a thing happening to anyone else??? Or any suggestions as to where to go frome here (she is the only surgeon in area that does revisions)???  YES... I am very confused at this point.

I am sorry to say you are going to have to relax and wait for the results so the doctor and come up with a plan of care based on the facts. This is why you feel confused, the doctor could not give you a conclusion because she needs to have the biopsy information.

 See a surgeon that does a lot of revisions.

Do your research, go for second opinions.
I am firm believer that DS is by far the best option for revision.
