Okay, the short version....after seeing a plastic surgeon for brest reduction, an agreement was made that my RNY was unsuccessful for me.  By the book for the first 2years and lost only half of my goal weight, I have now started the whole process of gaining again ( I am sure do to things I've done wrong, but not entirely!)  So I call my surgeon today to discuss a revision, but find out he DIED last December at age 43!!!  WHAT!!!! Why did I not know this!!!! Soooo, I contact another surgeon at the same hospital and this is my results:

All my records are still there, but Dr. O'Malley will NOT do revision surgery for Dr. Boss patients.  I was told by the office person who answered the phone, "You were given the tool to use, use it."  WHAT IS THAT!!!!!!  Up until this very point I was all "YEAH...GO HIGHLAND HOSPITAL (STRONG MEMORIAL) AND DR. BOSS"  But know in a time of need this Bariatric unit is going to do nothing for me!!!!!  I HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER BARIATRIC SURGEON THAT WILL PICK ME UP FOR ALL MY FUTURE BARIATRIC NEEDS INCLUDING MY ANNUAL BLOOD WORK AND CHECK UP!!!!!!!!

Boy do I feel lost right now!!!!!!!!!

Not the most friendly or helpful office in my opinion . . . will they let you make an appointment at least?

They do not have availability for an appt for me anytime soon....they "suggested" I find another bariatric center to assist me. ????

I would call again.  Was there a PA you have seen post-op?  I found repeat calls gave different information.  I also think they have hired another surgeon - poke around on the website.

Wow, that is crazy that they won't take you on as a patient since the Dr. was affiliated with their center.  I agree, call again.

Sorry for what you are going through... I was not pleased with them either.  I was having the DS and my parents are heling me through my recovery and I'm from Rochester and since I had to travel I thought I'd look up DS surgeons in Rochester and that initial call with Dr. O'Maley's office had me so frustrated that I didn't even bother following up... she just refused to talk to me after learning I was self pay... Not helpful and rude on the phone.

Some doctors only do the original surgery because it is easy. You need to find a surgeon who specializes in follow-up surgery. There are many choices to be made for follow-up such as repair to the out-let of the stomach so it empties slower or actually reduce the size of the stomach again. You more than likely have adhesions not just to the bowel but could be to the esophagus as well. This would complicate any further surgery. At two years it is obvious your original surgery needs some type of correction. Finding a new surgeon is to your advantage, believe me! Research the ones out there and decide who would be best for you.
