I'm gaining any suggestions
Hi J!
Don't get frustrated. You've got to get back to the basics! Start your day with a 30 gram protein shake. That's going to keep you full for awhile. You have to drink at least 70oz of water per day. If you must, mix it with crystal light. Then drink another 30gram of protein for lunch. Eat a small salad plate early dinner of meats and veggies, no carbs! Drink your last 30gram protein shake around 7pm.
Walk, thirty minutes a day. Even if you have to walk around the house. If you don't move, the weight will not move!
Getting back to basics is the only way to get rid of the pounds you've gained. I'm writing from experience. One year after surgery and losing 90lbs, I went to Hawaii for two weeks and gained 18 pounds. It' took three weeks of sticking to this regime to get that excess off. Never again, will I fall off the wagon. If you do, just remember how horrible you felt when you came out of the hospital. That's a wake up call!
Best of luck and blessings to you!

Wow what a great reply. I feel rejuvenated this is exactly the boost I needed. What type of shakes do you use? Yes the exercise and water thing is a issue (I hate both). I will try back maybe with walking the stairs at work. The weight gain was so quick very scary and I be darn if I gain the 117 that I lost. Yes I remember the hospital .
I love the phase If you don't move, the weight will not move!
Thanks again for the words of encouragement.

Hi J!
I use Whey powder that I get from Walmart. It's only 12-14.99 there. The health food stores are 19.99 a can. Use a blender and put 1/3 cup of crush ice, 3 scoops of protein powder, add splender to taste and 1/2 cup water. You can add chopped fresh fruits also. For a great chocolate shake, you use baking cocoa and bananas. Place the shake in three cups and use it for breakfast , lunch and dinner. To make the water quota, use crystal light. There are so many different kinds, you'll have your 64 oz drank in no time. Get a big gulp cup from 7-11, add water and crystal light and sip on it all day. If you are getting your walking in, you'll be using plain water because of the thirst! Do what you have to in order to move. Start with a 15 min walk and add 5 mins to it each day until you reach an hour. I use an ipod or watch an hour long TV show. The time goes by really fast. Be like NIKE and just do it!!!
Also, find a photo of yourself before and put it on the fridge, your bathroom mirror and on the visor in your car. You know you'll never want to look that way again. You've gone through to much to fail now! Let's keep in touch because I've been where you are and NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

I understand how you feel. I am two years out from my surgery and have just recently gained 10 lbs in 4 months. I am scared, disappointed in myself, angry, confused, and lost. I feel like I need to get on the straight and narrow too. I got away from drinking my protein and following the diet; especially the not drinking when eating, before, and after. The response to your post has given me motivation and guidance as well. I guess I am merely responding to your post to let you know I feel your pain and emotion. Best of luck and let's stay positive. :)

Agree with getting back to basics. Protein first.
I enjoy EAS Advantage carb control shakes. They're 110 calories, 3 grams fat, 4 grams carbs, and 17 grams protein. Maybe get into charting your intake on one of the free sites like Livestrong's Daily Plate?? That way you'll know exactly how many calories you're eating and how much protein you're actually getting in. Avoid simple carbs like the plague... they really do make you hungrier.
Salads, tuna, cottage cheese, salmon, chicken, veggies, berries
Good luck to you!
