have you thought about revision to DS? If you have any type of insurance you may be able to do it.  The questions is - do you want to? How badly? and if so - i am not sure if that is even possible.

But as you said - Since you could lose 30 lbs in 4 weeks- the surgery is not a failure - you did not work hard enough to make it successful... i wish you best this time...
You went through hell in NO.  I hope your life is better now.

I have thought about another surgery but I don't have the insurance to pay for it. The first year is when you lose weight the fastest. I was in bed for 7 months healing bed sores from sitting in a wheelchair in heat. They were in bad places which made it hard for me to workout or even walk. I couldn't sweat since i was healing also. It was just a big mess. I didn't give up even though! After the first 2 years I got off track. I never had a doctor or anything to talk about the surgery or check ups I was on my own with everything. I wish I would of known about this site 4 years ago probably would of helped with a lot of my questions and things I was going through alone.

Wow, you should look into the DS once you work out all of your emotional/psychological issues.

Good Luck and God Bless you.

i was just posting about the problems that i was having and you know what your story was the biggest eye opener ever...i swear i feel like crying, but i really wish you luck. I see that your story started off said and is just in a flat place right now. i just hope that whatever you do everything works out. i am still new at this and i do not know what to tell you to do. but just keep an open mind.

Wow...reading your story really brought back some vivid memories. My brother was in New Orleans through Katrina, and I was able to stay on the cell phone with him through the majority of the hurricane, but then the cell towers went out. I went through two weeks of watching the turmoil unfold on television, wondering if my brother was alive or dead. He survived the hurricane just fine, but ended up dying in December of 2008 from End Stage Liver Disease.

I feel so awful that you had to go through that experience. I've been through several major hurricanes in my lifetime, and I know how horrible the Southern heat and humidity are when you are out of electricity for weeks after a storm. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to go through that having just had major surgery and being shot at and stranded. I'm so sorry that you had to endure that.

I don't really have any advice as far as revision's are concerned. I just wanted to say that your story touched me, and that I hope you find your answer. I'm so sorry that New Orleans is still sitting there in such a mess. We in the U.S. need to find a way to do better to help all of the people who were affected by the awful series of hurricanes that hit us over such a short period of time. I hope things get better for you soon.

Hello, God has a master plan for all of us.  Each one of us has a season and a purpose for being here.  Try and see if you can find some programs in your area that are geared towards obesity, and have some type of trial studies.  I will ask around @ work and see if there are any programs and see what maybe available people don't tell you.

Stay strong and blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
