I am in the DFW area.  I had gastric bypass 12/04-lost 120 lbs.  now have gained back about 70 lbs.  I went to see Dr. Barker about a revision about a year ago and found out my insurance wouldn't cover a revision.  I was defeated.  I went to see a new Dr. last week who doesn't take insurance at all-just to see what I was looking at for self pay.  He ordered an upper GI.  He called me today with the results-stretched pouch (duh..), hiatal hernia, and reflux.  Now I'm wondering if another Dr. who takes my insurance...maybe even Dr. Barker could do a hernia repair surgery and fix my pouch while he's in there and my insurance company be none the wiser.

Let us know what you find out for sure, because I need a revision as well but have no money to pay for it. My insurance will not cover it again as well.

I'm in the same boat as y'all. I'm in DFW too. My original surgery was paid for by the Texas Rehab Commission. THey will not pay for revisions and I can forget about my lousy insurance. I lost weight, but became discouraged 1. because I started regaining, and 2. because I look horrible with all this loose skin. I look like a flat (flatter, not flat) tire now instead of an inflated one. My boobs are flat, saggy things, and my arms, legs, belly, sides, and neck are flappy and floppy. Not real attractive. Not a happy camper. No money for anymore procedures.
