I did get on the scales today for Mothers Day...

I'm 10 days post opp from having lap band over RNY....   I have lost..... Drum roll please....

10.89lbs..

I'm happy with that...  I'm doing what I should with the fat free yogurts, puddings, egg beaters, etc...  I am hungry but NOT starving!!

I can't wait to get the band filled for the first time.  I think it will make it a little less tempting to cheat.

At this point I'm glad I had this done... If the band and I keep working together.. I hope to lose another 73lbs to my goal of 175lbs.

Please pray for me (really)  as it's not easy and just like anyone else... I have life situations that come up that makes me just want to grab the largest piece of chocolate cake I can and eat it.. I think God is testing me on a lot of situations right now and I'm not so sure I'm passing..   :-(

Thanks everyone..

Did you have a lap band put on after your RNY?

Dr. Breagman did my surgery at St. Mary's hospital here in Richmond, VA.

He's also in w/ Dr. Gregory Shroders Group.

Here's something interesting I saw hanging on their office wall when I went in this time..
Dr. Shroder was the first Dr. to insert/use the "Realize" band in the USA.

However.. I did not get the Realize band .  I have the Lap band... He said he would not know till he got in there which band I needed... However I strongly URGED him to use the regular Lap Band on me as I felt there was not enough research on the success/failure rate of the Realize Band.  That's just my opinion.

I'm so bad about not having time to cook... So I've just been grabbing a lot of deli meats (Low fat) and eating it.  Sometimes yougart, cottage cheese or fat free pudding.  I've also been eating a lot of fish.   Starting to get burned out on my  food decisions..

Anyone have a suggestion??

Hi....My doc is recommending this procedure for me and I wanted to see how you're doing and if your insurance cover the surgery?  Thanks
