Un-Motivated

I am scheduled for a revision to my RNY on March 3rd.  I cannot seem to be exited about it.  I feel like I am going to screw this one up too!

Originally, I weighed 303 and only lost about 55 lbs.  That was all lost in the first 4 months or so.  I then stopped and slowly crept back up to 275.  I DONT want to screw this up and I guess that is both a plus and a minus in this situation.

Anyone have any words of advice????

Yup!  Take in a nice cleansing breath.  You are going to be given an opportunity to start with a clean slate!  Work on getting your nutrition and exercise plan of action set up now and keep realistic goals.  One thing I do suggest, I know many are fearful of this, but use your clothes as a guide to your success.  Those scales are wicked and can destroy a person's attitude the minute they are stepped on.  I didn't own one for the first two years after surgery.  I got so excited for every decrease in clothing size, I felt I didn't need the numbers. Just a suggestion.  I AM excited about your new journery!!!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Aloha Ames....Oh, you are so lucky!! I have a feeling that the first time around they didn't "plumb" you correctly, and now, after this surgery, you will be able to have the help of your tool, and that can be very powerful. Be sure to follow the rules.....protein first, and lots of water, but not until 30 min. after eating.

I weighed 319 lbs. when I started.....and my weight loss was stair step......flat, then down, flat for awhile, then down. I kept a daily record of everything I ate beside the couch.....protein, liquids and calories. I did that for a year and a half. I'm now below goal, and just had a tummy tuck and feel like a new woman. YOU WILL TOO!! Please don't be discouraged and look at this as the beginning of a new chapter in your life.......the one that takes you to health, fitness and freedom in your body.

GOOD LUCK!!

Aloha nui loa,

"flushes" the food from the pouch and thus it keeps you from the "full" feeling.  That is something that will be HARD to break for me.  I drink SOO much all the time.

Right now I can eat as much as I did before the surgery and let me tell you, that was FAR too much!!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement!
