Something I found online regarding revision surgery.  It's supposed to be a non-invasive reconstruction of the pouch using an endoscope to pull folds of the pouch together and suture them, making the pouch smaller again.

Okay I see well thats good to know in the event I ever get to that point.  I'm only 3 months out of a VSG so I'm still not eating much.

I hope that someone comes up with some information for you.

Good Luck.

I had a RNY done in 2003. I gained some weight back and now looking into a revision. I have decided on a Duodenal switch.
when doing this, I discovered the stomaphyx and asked the same question. Everyone that replied that had it done said it was a waste of money. It worked for a while and then they didn't feel full any longer. It cost anywhere from $5000.00 to $10,000.00 dollars and insurance doesn't pay.
Looking at all the options, duodenal switch has the best results. I wish I would have known about this 6 yrs ago. I am currently waiting for insurance approval. good luck to you!!

Hi Lorie,
Thanks so much for the info!  Good luck to you!  Just out of curiousity, is your insurance going to cover DS?

Thanks Again!

Oh, duh..I just saw that you put in your reply that you are waiting for approval.  Can you let me know if it goes through and which insurance you have?

Had the Stomaphyx (1.5 yrs ago), it does talk to you if you listen... ie.. it works if you let it.  I can feel the fullness, but just like before, if I wait a while and start to eat again, I can eat more.

I'll  post this, but wanted to give it to you to.  Good luck.
