I saw this question posted before, but was never able to see the responses & now I can't find it, but...

Has anyone gained a lot of weight after surgery (50+lbs) and then sucessfully lost the weight without a revision?

Thank you for your time,

Cassandra

I am curious to see the answers that come back on this also.  I had my surgery 8 years ago.  I have gained 40 of my 100 back.  It seems that if I gain a pound or two I am unable to get it off.  I workout like crazy but can't seem to get anything off.  Has anyone every gone back to the liquid protein diet for a week or two??  Any  suggestions.

Thanks,

Pam

I had RNY surgery in April 2003.  I started off at 275 lbs. Got down to 143 lbs.  I'm now at 201.  So I've just about gained 1/2 my weight back.  I can really feel it.  I started putting on the weight when I got married.  I've started all the bad habits I had before WLS. Plus a few other ones that I didn't have.  When I first had the surgery, the weight fell off fast.  I believe I know the causes.....Not drinking all of my protien shakes.  Drinking when I'm eating. Not exercising.  Eating til I'm ready to explode.  Drinking a lot more alcohol than I have ever in my life.  I'm trying to get a better mental attitude for the first of the year.  Plus I'm going to try to use that "Reset Your Pouch" test.  Wish me luck.  Terrie

I've heard about the 5 day pouch test. I too have gained weight and I'll be damned if I did all this for nothing.  I'm going to try it..

I have gains over 50lbs back after having surgery in 2002.  Where can I find the "reset your pouch" test or diet or whatever it is?

Thanks, Leigh
