what actually is failure?
I'm not sure if I have failed yet. I am 7 months out and lost about 106lbs but I have only lost about 20lbs since february, but I also must include that I got pregnant in february and miscarried in april. Right now I feel stuck I have been exercising and must admit that I could make better food choices. I know that we shouldn't compare ourselves with other people but I have a friend who never followed the diet drank pepsi and never exercised but still lost 210lbs! I am so confused.
I would not consider you a failure.
A true failure is one in which the surgery just doesn't work. Yours obviously has.
The further out from surgery, the less you will lose each month.
Plus, your body is still recovering from the miscarriage.. that takes some time to get over and heal.
So buckle down on the food choices and continue to excercise.. I'm sure you will start to notice a difference again soon.
I would certainly say you are not a failure, 106lbs is a huge amount. You really have to take into consideration the stress that your body went through when you miscarried. Your body can deal with stress in many ways. Make better food choices and try to get to your workouts. But also take the time to emotionally deal with your loss. I lost a baby a few years back and I had to make sure I took the time to grieve for her. Hope you are doing better soon. If you need any help feel free to send me a message. - Katie
I am new to this forum but I believe that I qualify for as a "failure". I had RNY Oct. 07, I am only down 52lbs. There are a few food choiches that I could eliminate, but It doesn't qualify for me not having loss much more.
Everybody says the same crap, " you r doing good, everybody is different, it'll come off", I don't want to here that $^@!. I want results. I am almost eight months out, I could have done this without surgery if I really tried. And I exercise 4 days a week. Help!!!!

I keep hearing those of you who dont like your results, and you all have 1 thing in common. You are making poor choices in food. I say if you arent going to follow the diet part, then do not complain that you are not getting the results you want. I realise that it's hard. Thats why they have NUT's, therapists, support groups, etc... You have to make a HUGE effort on both the exersise AND diet parts. Otherwise you will stall and/or just not lose at all whatsoever. Get back on track, really focus on making better food choices, and you WILL see results. If you want to continue to NOT eat right, then do not complain about the lack of results. Its just that simple. Good luck.
