I've heard of a sweet spot with the Lapband but never with the RnY, but then I never researched the RnY very deeply.  Maybe someone on the mainboard can answer this for you

I think the sweet spot you’ve been hearing so much about has to do with the Lap Band. When Banders get their fills, it takes a while to get to that “sweet spot”. Not too tight and not too loose, but just the right amount of restriction that causes consistant weight loss. RNYers don’t experience that because they’re unable to adjust their pouches.

The sweet spot is a term used in the bandsters world to indicate the point where they have hit just the right restriction level and are loosing on a regular basis. The band is not too tight and not too loose. Everyones sweetspot varies.  Take Care, Jessica
