Anyone here from MA?
I don't live in MA but I just wanted to ask you how you got you're weight back down after your baby. I had my RNY done in Oct. of 2005 with a starting weight of 295. I only got down to 216 and now i'm slowly creeping up again and i'm currently at about 236. I'm hungry all the time. I have a gym built down in my basement but after working out for 15 minutes i'm exhausted. I'm sure it's because i'm getting fat again. And one more thing. WHY ARE YOU ON THE FAILED WLS FORUM? Shana.
Hi Shana, I understand what you mean when you say you're hungry all the time...So am I. To answer your questions. I'm on the Failed WLS forum, because that's exactly how I feel/felt after getting down to 150 then gaining 20 lbs. Then an additional 48 from pregnancy. At one point I felt that my (gastric bypass) stomach was no longer working. I could and can eat just as much as a "normal" person (someone without surgery). When I think back to 2002 I would get full off the smell of food or just swolling..I'm not kidding. So, the fact that I can eat an enitire sub (bread included) and get something else 1/2-1 hour later (cookie, chips, french fries anything that I can put in my mouth) makes me feel like there's something totally wrong with me.. The way I lost weight was of no CONSISTANT effort on my own. One day I would say.."I need to get rid of this weight" I would diet for a week or so and lose one pound..then go back to eating bad foods and picking. (then repeat the routine of dieting then stopping) Somewhere along the way I must have been able to keep some of the weight off, but you can't really get a sense of my "true" weight struggles just from reading my profile. To be honest, the only times I update is when I'm starting a new diet and it reminds me. It's not in my journal the amounts of time I have regained 20-25 lbs at a time. Hope that answers your question. Sorry for rambling
