I am 3 months post-op. My starting weight was 264lbs and I am at 222 as of yesterday. I know I can eat way more than I am supposed to. I am hungry all the time and I don't get sick as much as i used to. I know my stomach is stretched and I have been stuck at this same weight for almost a month!!!!!.

I lost really quickly for the first month and after that slowed a bit and now I am stuck! I am so frustrated and fed up. I am screwing everything up!!

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO FIX THIS BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!!!

First off .. congrats on your weight loss.... How much are you eating in a day?  Did you gain any weight that you have already lost?   It is normal for your body to either lose the weight.... or you lose the inches.  When you dont see the weight come off...... you are losing inches.   If you are feeling hungry... drink water, drink water, drink water!  Are you sure its hunger.... or is it head hunger??  It takes alot to stretch your pouch.... I would not worry... but if you are that concerned... call your doc!  If you want to talk more.. send me a message or email me at [email protected].... Take care... Christine ....P.S.  I think you are doing fine

I think part of the reason I don't dump is that I drink soda instead of water.  Also when I cut out caffeine I dumped.  Try cutting out some stuf like that.  Or, try waiting to see if you are on a plateau

WOW....you posted my exact thoughts.  I'm about 2 wks further out than you....I've lost 70 lbs, and fill like I eat a giant amount of food.  I use fitday.com to monitor my intake, and average about 1200 to 1500 calories a day.  I called my surgeon's office, who told me that was way too much.  I should "only be able" to eat about 800 calories a day.  I too have slowed way down on the weight loss.  I've only lost 3 lbs this month...What's up w/ that.. my starting weight was 320 and I'm down to 250, but I'm hungry alot too

Hello All  I am now 5 months out had my RNY done on Novemebr 8th 2006,and have lost only 4 lbs in the past 2 months ,making my grand weight loss 46lbs , am now totally confused and fed up with this op and truly feel like its "doing my head in" Am finding it hard to keep the eating under control and think that eventually I will be back to where i started ,when I spoke to my surgeon he said it was great that I could eat so well and that it would enable me to have a social life ,well yes if I was still losing the weight as well it would be great ,but a 4lbs loss in 2 months ? I also had a distal RNY which is supposedly a bigger limb as my bmi was 52+ so whats happening .??.. I feel very down about all this now feel like screaming actually ...  my start weight was 298 by the way   Why did I think that after RNY I would have lost my appetite for food  like I hear some others talk about ,only eating when they remember .. they dont know how lucky they are  Susie x
