My doctor failed me in my WLS
I have been wondering for about two years now why I could never get past 195 on the scales and I have gained 15 pounds in the last year. Upon reading my medical records from the surgery I have found that my surgeon only took 45cm of my small bowel. At the time for my BMI he should have done a distal which is 100-150cm. He did not even do what would be a proximal which is 80-100cm. I am happy with myself over all but there is that little voice that says you got jipped and you are going to be like some of the others who had surgery about the same time and by the same doctors. Many of them have gained their weight back almost total of what they lost or in full. I am wondering has anyone had the same problem and had to had a revision or even had a revision? I loved my doctor but now I feel betrayed by him or maybe it was the military as it was done a military hospital in a time when the public was complaining about so called cosmetic surgeries. Thanks for letting me sound off. Jenn
Hi I had a revision but went from the adjustable band to the RNY. I was replying because #1 I am from Hanford #2 I am a military wife dealing with military doctors now. I live in Oh right now and am about to try and get my doc to do a scope to see why I am not losing any weight. I have not lost any since Jan! Too long of a time for me! Where did you have your surgery? Is Lemoore doing them now? My mom is still in Hanford and is trying to get the RNY in Fresno.
Sorry off topic LOL.
I hope you are able to get more answers to your questions. And find a doc who can help you!

Soory I could not write more before this Casey, but I had my Mom visiting from Colorado and my son was up from Camp Pendleton.
I had my orginal surgery at Fort Carson, CO. It looks like my revision will be with Doctor Parvez. There are only two doctors in the area who take Tricare Parvez and Felix. I prefer Felix due to the fact he has his own surgery center but I have to repeat the classes for nutrition and that is 1000.00 that I don't have. But I know Parvez's reputation also and it is good. So after the first of the year I will pursue my revision surgery further.
Who did you revision?
From what I have heard there is no surgeon doing it at Lemoore as of yet.
I am going to shot you a private messege with my phone number and you can give me a call if you want. Jenn
